History of
Symbiote

Part 3:
The Lab

1995
Symbiote enters the Lab market with
CAD and technical workstations introduced at NeoCon to support the high tech work environments of its growing client base. The PowerTop adjustable corner workstation is introduced as a solution for a number of ergonomic woes. It's a time of unparalleled growth at Symbiote, where new computer-driven manufacturing and inventory controls are introduced. For better customer service, BlueSky, Symbiote's proprietary specifying CAD program, is launched to help customers visualize how their installations will look.

1996
Symbiote outgrows its Holland location and moves to a 65,000 square foot facility in Zeeland, Michigan. The continuing growth of the company also sparks new systems for quality control, manufacturing and service. Engineering upgrades to the Pro-E CAD system, dramatically reducing production times for special orders and new products. To service the growing Lab market, a new product line of rack mount accessories is introduced. Overseas markets are explored and the distribution of Symbiote products is introduced in the UK and Asia.

1997
Several new products are introduced for use in general manufacturing, assembly applications and wiring shops. A new product named the ErgoTilt becomes the latest outgrowth of the ErgoStat product line, giving the work surface the ability to tilt up to 90 degrees.
